A Message from our Chairman…
Welcome to the 53rd annual Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival! I am Tristen Miller, and it is my great honor to serve as the Chairman of the board and work with such an amazing group of people.
As a lifelong resident of Ponchatoula my love and involvement in the festival has always run deep- from riding in the parade year after year on the Geaux DJ float to spending countless hours volunteering in the Charlie Landry Memorial Scholarship booth. It has been incredible to see how much the festival has grown over the years.
Starting in July the board dedicates countless hours planning to welcome visitors from near and far to see what Ponchatoula has to offer and celebrate our state fruit and jewel of the south- the strawberry.
On festival grounds starting on the 2nd block of North 6th Street and all throughout Memorial Park you will find delicious food booths all operated by Non-profit organizations whose proceeds go to their organization’s use. Next, you will find over twenty amusement rides for the young at heart to enjoy. Make sure you take in some of the great continuous entertainment from one of the two stages, and plan to enter in the egg toss or strawberry eating contest.
While you’re here, don’t forget to stop by Farmer’s Row on the 2nd block of 6th St. and buy a flat of fresh Louisiana strawberries or a jar of jam or jelly from one of our valued local farmers. When purchasing your berries look for this sign “Quality Berries from a Quality Farmer” this will indicate that you are buying directly from a farmer’s farm and will be purchasing the freshest strawberries available. Also, before you travel home, take a tour of our city, as our city officials and local businesses have been preparing for your visit as well.
On behalf of the 2025 Ponchatoula Strawberry Board, thank you for attending the 53rd Strawberry Festival, and we hope to see you again for the 2026 festival.
Wishing you the berry best time!
